Annabelle M. Rinehart
FOUNDER + DIRECTOR
Annabelle M. Rinehart is a crisis PR veteran turned gallerist, art advocate, and connector. In 2022, after a high-octane career as Managing Director at New York’s powerhouse financial PR firm Joele Frank, where she specialized in steering companies through their most turbulent moments, Annabelle left the boardrooms for the art world—trading press briefings for exhibition openings—and founded AMR Art DUMBO, a queer woman–focused gallery in Brooklyn.
A native New Yorker, Annabelle’s love affair with art began early. At age 12, she stood before Blue II (1961) by Joan Miró—a floating, dreamlike expanse of blue—and felt something shift. The painting’s playful gravity revealed to her that art could both transport and ground you, and it sparked a lifelong pursuit of beauty, meaning, and human connection through creative expression.
Over the years, Annabelle built a thoughtful and eclectic personal collection, forging deep relationships with artists, performers, curators, and collaborators. Known for her keen eye and unflinching clarity of vision, she champions work that is unapologetically expressive, conceptually rigorous, and emotionally resonant.
With AMR Art DUMBO, Annabelle’s mission is as much about building community as it is about showing art—creating spaces where emerging voices are heard, connections between artists and collectors are authentic, and art becomes a catalyst for meaningful dialogue and change.
Beyond the gallery, Annabelle serves on the Board of Directors for the Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) and the New York Peace Institute, where she is also a certified mediator. She holds a B.A. in Art History from Skidmore College.
